These, usually monthly, events give members of St Anne’s an opportunity to eat together and have a facilitated discussion lead by a guest speaker.
We meet at 7pm in the Rectory at 55 Dean St and end with night prayer at about 9pm. Recent evenings have discussed the nature of belief, prison ministry, liturgy, transgender issues and science v religion, faith and disability and the writings of St Paul. Guest speakers have included representatives from charities such as The Samaritans and Centrepoint, along with a mixture of clergy and lay people with insights to share. Always relaxed and informative these hugely enjoyable evenings are a particularly good way for people new to St Anne’s to get to know others, and for those new to faith to think about different aspects of the Christian life or of ‘life in general’ from a Christian perspective.
