Who’s Who

The Rector – The Revd Simon Buckley
Fr Simon has been Rector of St Anne’s since 2013, though he had served here previously as an Assistant Priest. He has a background as a professional puppeteer, which still comes in handy, and is a Priest Vicar of Westminster Abbey and Sub Area Dean of Westminster (St Margaret’s) Deanery. He is a Governor of Soho Parish School and sits on the boards of several charities and the Independent Advisory Group to the Metropolitan Police.

The Curate – The Revd Paul Gurnham
Fr Paul was ordained in September 2020 following studies at Westcott House theological College in Cambridge. Before ordination he was a lawyer and has also worked in Malawi for the United Society for Partners in the Gospel. He is the first full time curate at St Anne’s for over thirty years, funded by the parish.

The Assistant Priest – The Revd Dr Canon Keith Riglin
Fr Keith is Assistant Dean of Kings College, London, and an honorary Canon of St John’s Cathedral, Oban in the Diocese of Argyll and the Isles. He is a Director of Ordinands in the Diocese of London and has worked in Chaplaincies between Cambridge and the West Indies and has been at St Anne’s, part time and unpaid, since 2013.

The Administrator and Operations Manager – Jake Lee
Jake has been keeping us organised since 2018 and looks after the finances, room hire bookings, and IT amongst many other things, and makes sure we are COVID-Secure. He has worked in the charity sector for a number of years and also acts as Secretary to the Parochial Church Council.

The Congregation – these are the most important people at St Anne’s. A diverse group of people at different stages in their journeys of faith and through life. A mixture of local Soho-ites and others for whom Soho and St Anne’s feels like home. Our current age range is 4-95.
